The Den is Primordial Groove’s room in Crockett, California. It is where ORIGIN is broadcast from, and it takes artist sessions and live gatherings the rest of the time.

what the room does

Board-feed audio

The recording is taken from the mixer, not from a microphone pointed at a speaker. What lands in the session files is the signal you were actually playing.

Multi-camera video

Several angles, switched live through the ATEM rather than assembled afterwards. Every session gets at least one camera angle regardless of the format you booked.

Projection and lasers

Large-format projection and a laser rig, programmed around the set before the session rather than left running on a default.

Broadcast switching

Run of show and platform output for sessions that go out live, which is the same setup ORIGIN is broadcast on.

how a session runs

You arrive to a room that is already up.

The setup is planned before the date, not worked out while you wait. We agree the format, the length, and what you want to leave with, and the rig is configured around that answer. When you walk in, the recording setup is running and the time you booked is time you spend playing.
