Booking

How do I book a session?
Pick a session type — DJ recording, interview, or livestream — choose your date, and pay the $100 deposit to hold it. There’s no review step: the date is yours as soon as the deposit clears. If what you want doesn’t fit one of those formats, send a custom inquiry instead and we’ll scope it with you before anything is booked.
How far ahead do I need to book?
Both booking paths ask for a start at least 24 hours out. Sessions that need the projectors or the lasers programmed benefit from more notice than that.
Can I check on an inquiry I already sent?
Yes. Every inquiry gets a reference that starts with DEN-. Enter it with the email you used on the inquiry page under “check status” and it will tell you where the session stands.
Is anything charged when I book a session?
It depends on the path. Booking a fixed session type charges the $100 deposit right away to hold your date. Sending a custom inquiry charges nothing — the scope and rate are confirmed with you before anything is booked.
What if I need to cancel?
Tell us as early as you can — 24 hours before the start is the ask, the same notice the booking form asks for. There is no cancellation fee, and the $100 booking deposit is refunded. If it’s the date that stopped working rather than the session, reply to your confirmation email and we’ll move it instead.
Can I move my session to another date?
Yes, and there’s no charge for it. Reply to your confirmation email with the date you’d rather have, at least 24 hours before the start you already have where you can, and we’ll send you a new confirmation. Your deposit carries forward to the new date, and there’s no limit on how many times you can move a session.

Sessions and pricing

How long is a session?
Three hours is both the starting point and the minimum, and sessions run up to twelve. Setup and teardown cost the room the same whether you use three hours or one, which is why there is nothing shorter to book.
What does a longer session cost?
It scales by the hour and rounds to a clean number — a DJ recording listed at $250 for three hours runs $500 for six, shown directly on the DJ booking page. For interview, livestream, or projection sessions, tell us the length in your inquiry and we’ll show you the exact price before you send it.
What is included in every session?
Every session is recorded. At least one camera angle and board-feed audio are included no matter which format you book, with the rest of the rig set up around the session type you chose.
What if my session doesn’t fit one of the formats?
Describe it and we’ll price it. Custom production starts at $250 for three hours and is scoped around the time, equipment, and crew the work actually needs.

Payment

How does payment work?
For a fixed session type, the $100 deposit holds your date at booking and The Den invoices the remaining balance after that, by email. For a custom inquiry, The Den invoices the full session directly once the date and the rate are confirmed.
When is the final rate settled?
For a fixed session type, the rate is set the moment you book it. For a custom inquiry, the rate is settled before the session is booked, not after it happens — the rate you agree to at confirmation is the rate that gets invoiced.

Files and delivery

When do I get the recording?
Session files land within 48 hours of a DJ recording session.
What do I actually receive?
The multi-camera video capture and the board-feed audio recording from your session. Anything beyond that — a specific edit, a particular deliverable — is worth naming in your inquiry so it is part of the plan rather than a request afterwards.

In the room

What should I bring?
Your music and anything you specifically want to play off. The DJ systems, the sound, the cameras, and the recording setup are already here and already up when you arrive.
Can I ask for a specific setup?
Yes, and it is better to ask in the inquiry than on the day. Send the list and we’ll confirm it. Equipment availability and setup are confirmed as part of booking.
Can I bring people with me?
Guests are welcome. Tell us in your inquiry how many people are coming, so the room is set up for them rather than rearranged around them.
